CalvoLingua was founded in 2004 by state-authorised translator and interpreter Pedro Calvo. The agency utilises a small, select network of highly qualified translators.
Mother-tongue translators
As a matter of course, CalvoLingua only uses mother-tongue translators with the best possible qualifications. Especially in advertising and marketing, it is of utmost importance that target texts are written in a fluent and natural style with no indication of being a translation. In our opinion, this can only be achieved by people who learned the language as a child. Danish texts will therefore always be translated into Spanish and/or proofread by a native Spanish speaker, while Spanish texts will be translated into Danish by a native Dane.

Most of our translators hold master’s degrees and many of them are state-authorised.
Translation software
Wherever possible, we use Trados 2007 (Translator's Workbench 8.0, MultiTerm and TagEditor), a translation environment tool containing translation memories and terminology databases. Our clients are thus assured consistent terminology and style from task to task.
